The Outback

Today we were searching for some Crocs for the shops and we stumbled across a family of about 5. They were quite fierce things, but we got 2 of them. I dived down on one, but one snapped at me and slice my arm open. There was only a little bit of blood so I just ripped off ma shirt and wrapped it around my arm.

Its pretty wild out here. Ma mate Trevor got a huge gouge out of his leg, so we had to carry him back to camp. He had parts out so our crew called a chopper. It came and took Trevor away. Our camp is pretty sad at the moment since we lost Trevor.

Today, Trevor returned to camp so we let him rest. I got pretty sad thinking about my wife and kids. I've been out here in the wild for 2 years now. Every month I go back to see them but it doesn't help the cash flow, being back home, so I've got to keep pushing.

Today I decided to make my shelter stronger and waterproof. This is because some rain looks like it's coming (not good for Croc catching). When it rains here, it rains for days- so better I have a nice bed, than get soaked in rain.
But on the bright side... we can collect water!

I think that this is my best work because my story connects to Daniel Meehan's story about Crocs in the outback and I think this is my best work.
