Here is a list of upcoming open evenings/ days for some of the surrounding secondary schools.
It is always interesting to pop along to these sessions, whether you are in your last year at MPS or still have some time to go.
I am really happy to chat about options and discuss the experiences our past Year 8's are having at a wide range of schools.
Meagan Kelly from Rm 13, is going to take our wonderful Year 8's to 'The National Young Leaders Day', on Tuesday 31st May. This is an annual leadership event that is held in major cities across New Zealand. The cost is $40 per student including transport. A notice will come home about this tomorrow so keep an eye out.
Sorry Year 7's- it'll be your turn next year to attend this one, but I have an alternative leadership course up my sleeve for you for later this year!
Our 'World Of Work' unit of inquiry is under way and as part of this all students will be interviewing someone about their job. I'm not sure if everyone has seen this, but thank you to everyone who has already completed the online survey.
If you haven't seen it, now's a great time to take a look and see if you can contribute.
