“Land Of Stories - The Enchantress Returns”

A year later: Alex and Conner spent the past year living life as normal as any thirteen year olds could. When one day their whole world turned upside down. Their grandmother was quick to do anything to protect the twins from the most powerful enchantress in the land.

Alex and Conner must find a way into the Land of stories to help save a place they would call home and friends they would call family and defeat the enchantress once and for all.

The Land of Stories is an action packed series which twists the classic fairytales like Cinderella and Little Red Riding Hood in the first four books of the series.  The characters are portrayed as young adults.  The main characters are twin 13 year olds Alex and Connor who set out to protect and save their family and friends.  The fifth book is being released in July 2016. I highly enjoyed reading this series because it leaves you on the edge of your seat especially in the second book, sending the twins on a giant chase throughout the land collecting items to create one giant magical item but still managing to make the reader want more of the book.

I think this book fits into the right into the ‘fantastical’ adventure genre! The main characters, the twins feel very real as they are kids our age living an ordinary life until their mother is kidnapped.

I really like Chris Colfer's writing style, especially his book plots of good versus evil. Chris Colfer has written other books some written around, The Land of Stories.  Chris Colfer is also an actor most known from the American Comedy series named, Glee.

By far … is my favourite series / books and I can't recommend it enough. I would think it suits readers 10+ because there are four books all varying between four-hundred to five-hundred pages each, with some difficult vocabulary. But definitely my favourite series / books by far!

The land of stories has four books in the series at the moment. But a fifth book coming out soon.

The first called, “The Wishing Spell”

then the second, “The Enchantress Returns”

the third, “Brothers Grimm”

the fourth “Beyond the Kingdom's”

and fifth book is “The Author's Odyssey”

I haven't read the fifth book, as it is not out yet, but I am really exciting to see what Chris has in store for us this time!!!
